I make potion kits for kids. But really, I make something much bigger. I make fun, wonder and memories.
It All Started With a Tuff Tray
I’m The Potion Lady (a name given to me by some of my party potion makers), and FizzPotz began with a tuff tray I bought during the lock down to entertain my then toddler and 7 year old to help pass those quiet locked in days.
After all the lockdowns, I wanted to bring a little magic back into the world for my children and their friends. So I planned a potion-making party for Halloween. I made every ingredient myself which included fizzy powders, colourful liquids, cauldrons that I made from Wagamamas take away bowls and wands from bamboo sticks, glue and paint!
My children and their friends were captivated and engaged for over an hour. Mixing, scooping, inventing, giggling, creating their own wild and wonderful potions. It was messy, bubbly, imaginative, and completely joyful. Even the parents loved it!
That day I realised that maybe this wasn’t just a one-off activity. Maybe it was something more and my friends agreed.
So I started researching how to make potion kits and bring them to market. I began the long process of learning the relevant regulations, cosmetic safety, and everything needed to make FizzPotz not only magical but properly marked and approved. Every kit is now proudly UKCA marked, and lovingly packed for potion makers across the country.
What Makes FizzPotz Different?
FizzPotz kits are designed to spark creativity, storytelling and hands-on exploration. With colourful powders, fizzy shapes, shimmer drops and crackling surprises, each potion is a little science experiment disguised as play.
Every ingredient is hand-made with care, some are hand painted, and all themed around magical worlds like nature, the sea, galaxies and the mystical. There’s no right or wrong way to play, just scoops of curiosity, splashes of joy and a sprinkle of chaos.
And yes, the mess is part of the magic. But don’t worry it's an easy clean up because it's all drain safe.
