About FizzPotz
I’m Leanne – a Worcester-based mum to two girls who love messy play and making potions. During the pandemic lockdowns, we bought a tuff tray and enjoyed lots of fun scooping and mixing potions from ingredients we found at home.
Inspired by their delight in ingredients that fizz and foam, I planned a Halloween potion-making party for my girls and their friends but was disappointed by the products available at that time. I decided to teach myself to make the super-fizzy ingredients that delighted my daughters so much, and I spent hours ‘baking’ them until I was happy. The party was a huge success with the children spending hours engrossed in the fizzy fun of potions!

Research and Testing
Encouraged by friends, I started researching what I would need to do to make and sell potion kits and host children’s potion-making parties.
I learnt all about the cosmetic safety laws and how to make fizzy and foamy bath bombs, powders and crumbles only to discover that they weren't immediately toy safe owing to the more stringent Toy Safety Regulations.
I spent months educating myself about the Toy Safety Regulations, I consulted with experts and labs before I created my own recipes and had them tested to meet both the cosmetic and toy regulations. This means most of my ingredients are bath safe too! I’m proud that my kits are fully tested to meet the Toy (Safety) Regulations 2011 and as such are able to carry the UKCA mark.

Launch day!
Launch at Worcester Show
I lauched my kits at the Worcester Show in 2023 to a great reception and many of those first customers continue to return for their fizzy fun!
Since those early days, the product range has grown with seasonal kits bringing more delight throughout the year.
I also run potion-making workshops and parties as well as making ‘host at home’ party kits and bespoke potion kits which have become increasingly popular.
I love seeing children’s faces as they experience the joy of fizzy potions for the first time - and it’s lovely to give their parents a much-needed break too!
